This.

But there was another Sam and Max thread here.... and most guys there found the humor a little dry. A while back Telltale was offering one episode ( I think "Abe Lincoln must die") for free. Dont know if its still available. Better try that out first.

I loved the first season. It's also really cheap considering how much quality play you get out of it, though they do reuse a lot of the content.

You know, I'm going to be the voice of dissention here, because I tried "Abe Lincoln Must Die" and I found it to be a bland, ho-hum adventure game. The humor wasn't dry, it was absent. A lot of the humor left me saying, "Ah...yeah, that's...that's real clever there."

The gameplay itself was standard fare for the genre and the puzzles were simple enough. Nothing innovative or exciting to write home about, but if something nice could be said about it it's that it sticks to a formula and doesn't try to break the mold, thus it doesn't have any room for failure in that department.

The only thing this game really had going for it were the graphics. The rounded, cartoony look was very polished and the animations were fluid. Other than that though, I'd only recommend this game if you're hard up for some point-and-clicking, inventory-sifting, dialogue-choosing adventure and you've played everything else on the market.

Yea PC Gamer UK didn't give the first 'Season' much praise, the writing wasn't as good as the original and the puzzles were pretty poor. I haven't played em though!

i've been on the fence about trying this one out. . .

this thread didnt help : /

I love these games, they're awesome. Awesome awesome awesome. I bought the whole first season as an impulse purchase and I don't regret it one bit :D
