SANDMAN T.V. Show

Well I just went through my usual web-surfing of the day on slashfilm.com and I have just read that there possibly may be a Sandman T.V. show that is based off of Neil Gaiman's comic. I am a huge Sandman fan, it may possibly be my favorite comic book series ever, the books make such an excellent blend of fantasy, horror and mythology I feel that it would be impossible for it to be transported to a medium such as T.V. Supposedly the man who is in charge does the T.V. show Supernatural, which I have seen, my friend put it in a good way, "A goofy X-files type show with neat concepts, but lame execution and acting." I totally agree to the statement and I just wanted to see if any of the forum members have any thoughts on this or the Sandman series for that matter.

This could be awesome. I loved Sandman. Didn't like the fourth book so much.
