Trust me, there is hope. I was talking to a friend of mine today who was a strong McCain supporter. Guy has been a republican all his life. After Palin's performace these last few weeks he says that if Palin doesn't do miracles tonight at the debate he's voting Obama. I think this is going to be true for many republicans. Hell, many of the conservative journals have been going ape shit over Palin's incompetence.

Many other conservatives are really pissed off about this bailout right now and are willing to go with Bob Barr instead of McCain.

After tonight I really don't think there is a chance in hell McCain will win this election. Obama is already up 8 points nationally and up in even more in key swing states with only 34 days to go. After tonight those number will climb higher, this debate will be a trainwreck for McCain's campaign.

Obama is by no means great but compared with the last 8 years he will seem like a saint. Plus I think that Obama is a lot more liberal than he lets out.

it's more the perception of change than real change ..at least to non americans . foreign policy isnt going to change all that much and we dont care about domestic issues (except when they're lol worthy) but with obama (brown guy, not stupid, might be muslim) at least we know he's isnt going to invoke jesus and set off a holy war to bring about the end of days or force canadians to convert to jesus/hand over our oyle
