i remember about 2 months ago, valve put up a news update talking about a SAS player model comming around soon, then they were going to add a crapload of more player models shortly after that.

but where has it gone? its been about 2 months and theres no info on it

CSS has been out for over a year (not including the year(s) and or months they spent making it) and we've only got one skin for each team already. I can't see how it won't be another year before we get the new skins.

Don't believe anything Valve say until it's done or released.

They should stop creating stuff like new steam design and shit! Focus on the game instead, add the different models in and minimize crashing! Imo, they are going a bit other-the-top with all this new technology and are focusing less on actual games.

So the person in charge of making and skinning models also has the task of cooking up a new steam UI? Surely not.

Unless..... Valve is just Gabe doing tasks inbetween munching a pie or two, occasionally ringing up his pall Lombardi to wind up the public.

Might explain the length of time it takes them to get things done.

anyway i too was hoping for new models for CS:Source.
kinda like 1.6, a choice between four different models on each side.

i know the people over at Valve work hard and stuff and i appreciate it...in my mind, after one more big update to CS:S, i don't think Valve should work on it...at least not for a while.

maybe 1-2 more re-make/new maps and the models are all i hope to see in a CS:S update.

About the new models, i think it isn't quit difficult to do that, because i have seen alto of server plugins support chosing betwen different models.
So valve is working on a bigger thing than the models such as..... i don't know what, who knows?

Models are easy, if they aren't doing it, it's because they either are doing something else and/or don't want to do it. When i say easy, I mean just one person can do it in 2-3 days, imagine a whole team.
