Guys sorry if this is an stupid question but I can't get my sata to work as a bootable system drive and i'm presuming i can't make this happen with only one drive unless i connect it to an pci adapter?
Here's the deal i want my st316002 3as as my bootable system drive i'm currently using an ide st340810A as master an a maxtor 96147U8 as slave can I replace my ide drives with only one Serial ata disk?
If it's possible and someone can guide me through the steps to do it I'd be grateful, also my win xp sp1 install cd doesn't recognise it when prompting in which dirve to install.
The rest of my specs are
