Sata-ii compatibility?

Is SATA-II backwards compatible with SATA motherboards? I need to upgrade my HDDs, and the drives I want are SATA-II. I don't want to have to upgrade my mobo, so will I have to go with other drives?

sata 150 is fine for now i havent seen many sata 2 hardrives

Giant - I think you are thinking of it backwards.

Hunter - you should be just fine with a SATA-II drive on a SATA-! M/B. Just will run at SATA-I speeds...
