OK, I have tried everyting, even took my comp. to a repair store no one knows what's up. I have a Gateway with a 1.1 Ghz AMD Athlon and a ATI Radeon 7200 and 384 Mb SD Ram. OK, I want more RAM for gaming so I buy a 512 stick and stick it in, my computer slows down? Then if I play any game my screen turns off and my computer freezes. I already changes msconfig to allow the 1 Gig Ram for the board and have all the latest drivers. The thing that sucks is that my computer works amazingly with the Ram I already have, it plays Tribes 2 with great frame rates and all, but on the newer games it lags and I don't have the cash for a new video card. Plus it just drives me crazy that it won't accept the added Ram. At first I thought it was bad ram, but I switched it out used diffrent combinations, and still it dies. Please help, it's driving me crazy. Thanks

Does the mobo support such amount of ram? (my guess, yes)
Also, are you sure you didnt buy DDR ram instead of SD ram? :)

We need more technical specs (on the computer and the extra ram) to even start thinking on what could be wrong...

It may support that amount of ram but does it support 512mb stick in 1 slot?

the stick is SD 168 pin PC 133
it should fit the board. I have tried this with two 256 and one 128 and it did the same thing. I'll attach a better list of stats.
