Saw IV Teaser!

#6

edit: lol i thought you were ranking the trailer :O

I love the saw films the first was the best the second was ok traps were a bit boring. The third was good but had no suspense since they could not disable the traps just gory killings which are still good. The Trailer was absolutely crap but i'am still lookin forward to it.

Tbh I don't see any suspense in these films. Looks like snuff films that made it to the big screen only in elaborate ways of a gruesome death. The old horror movies like Freddy, etc was a horror movie but these just put poor people in a gruesome situation and let it go. Sure it's not real but still, who wants to watch this crap? Or pay the money on gas prices to get to the movie theater and pay for a ticket to watch it?

Seconded.

I loathe this new trend of torture films as a substitute for actual suspense and horror. It's good as a novelty, but for building a franchise? Ugh. Painting the ****ing walls red with blood does not make your film more scary. At the most, it makes it more gross, and I can get that shit for free on the internet.

Actually paying to see these kinds of films in theaters are just forays into sadomasochism, the sole purpose being to watch people get degraded into walking meatbags that are bruised, cut, punctured, and dismembered as each hack director tries to one-up the other in a contest over who can be more outrageous.

Of course, audiences are gladly giving their money in exchange for this stuff. There's clearly a market for it. But I personally want nothing to do with it.

I've only seen the first one, and it was OK. Not much of a horror movie, though.

Really don't get why they are making any more. The 'story arc' as it were ended fine with Saw 3 and the 'bad man' dying!

:@

1st was a really tight thriller. 2 & 3 have just been particularly gruesome first date movies. Or at least, I've used them as such...

Yeah what the hell I figured that would be the end of it and yeah.
