How many times can you open up a scar before it stops scarring up?

EDIT: Just to be clear, i'm asking if you can cut open scar tissue so many times that it stops healing itself, not "UMG I WANTS TO GET RID OF MA SKARS DEY IS SOO UKLY"

I don't understand the question; if you meant by "scarring up"

either

#1. Leave scars - In which case you're doing it wrong.

#2. Stop scabbing - In which case you need to do it constantly.

scar tissue is just like other parts of your skin, it's just ****ed up looking.

I don't see why the skin and etc. wouldn't regrow, albeit ugly scar skin.


Also, wear longer pants/protectors.

Idk, I figured if you open up a scar like a bazillion times your body would be unable to fix it for some reason.

It will always fix it back up. Your body is constantly rebuilding itself when damaged, even if that means what is rebuilt is far inferior to what was originally there. It's like breaking something and having an unlimited amount of glue. You'll be able to fix it back up, but it's not going to be pretty.

This of course is if you don't have some disease or another that prevents your body from healing properly, or more slowly... like diabetes or something.

Scars CAN be removed, but im pretty sure the only way is to have an operation, some kind of laser surgery or whatever.

Ive got scars all over my hands, shins, and one on the front of my shoulder from an operation when I was younger.

I know Im going to have them for life. But hey, chicks love a man with scars.

I don't get it, did you ask that question because you're afraid that yr skin might stop healing, or because you *want* it to stop healing? If it's the latter, you can do stuff like drinking alcohol or whatever to make your blood thinner so that wounds don't heal as fast, but if you want it to be permanent: grow old and / or develop some diseases as someone mentioned.
