Scary squealing noise.

Whenever I load up a Source-based game, i.e HL2, *something* on my PC makes an awful high-pitched squealing noise. I think the noise is coming from the back of the monitor, but it's hard to tell. Any ideas what this is? Someone told me it could be my PSU or GPU (350watt and Geforce4 MX440 respectively) but I have no idea. Thanks.

If i was your computer trying to run half-life 2 on that card, i would squeal too.
It could be something to do with your refresh rates on your monitor being too slow or something for the game, although i'm not entirely sure. How new is that monitor your using?

Oh and Munro owns this site, not as in skills, he litterally owns it.

Thanks, fixed it. Seems that it was caused by turning up my refresh rates. And I'm getting a free Geforce 6200 soon, hopefully that will run HL2 a bit better. So, err... why does everyone have "Free Munro" in their sig?
