I've been very ill the past day or so, had stomach pains from the last week.

I'd like to point out that I hardley ever get sick or anything like that, I'm usually very healthy.

Monday I was in so much pain I couldnt eat anything, I threw up quite a bit too. Then again. Still had the pains. Eventually I was throwing up blood. Being very very scared I phoned my flatmates, who came home and phone the doctor, eventually they worked out what was wrong with me:

I had drank so much that I had caused a serration in my stomach lining, causing blood to pool in my stomach, and then go off, causing my stomach pains and the later vomiting.

I'm cutting down bigstyle.

..............
Hope you get better quickly.

Check your liver at the hospital. Something might be worng.

Gutrot eh? Well badger, too much of a good thing and all that. You guy's getting accustomed to 24hr licensing I see. ;)

Apparently it's not serious, and will heal, and I'll suffer no other effects, but it's still ****ing scary!

Crap, forgot to say get well soon! :o

Aye, it'll patch itself up in time, but at least you get a minor warning rather than worse later on. Hell - it might even help you start up any drunken resolutions you made. (Y'know - healthier living and all of that pish.).

Yeah, I'm definately cutting down, aside from 2 weeks at least off.

Heh thanks :)

I'm on the mend already :)

And I was going to invite to the almighty, first annual Mod Binge.

Shoot.

Dude I told you it'd come back to haunt you eventually

hmmm, there's nothing wrong with drinking in moderation ..you really dont need to drink yourself stupid every time you drink ..I prefer pleasantly buzzed to falling down drunk. Get well soon :)

I'm aware of that :p

I'm never going quite so overboard again :)

I hope not, you dont want to end up in the hospital getting your stomach pumped cuz of alcohol poisoning, it's not fun

That sucks dude, maybe I should cut back a bit too, been hitting it hard lately. Actually I think I'll just wait till my stomach starts bleeding too, screw being healthy!

:(
Thats sad, Good luck, youre health is the most important thing.

Owned, Badger :p

Nah get well soon, and it's good to see you cutting down. You can always pretend you're rat-arsed to impress the girls!

"I dwunk abouuuuuut 10 buttles of vadker! I'm nut drank!"

That's your body telling you to keep it up. Simply testing how hardcore you are.

I warned you before about drinking too much, it really isn't good.
A friend of mine had black sick the day after drinking heavily (set blood)
I can recomend some things to eat to help repair any damage if you are interested.

When I saw "Last post by: Short Recoil" my heart filled with joy and anticipation.
I expected him to totally flip out on CB.

But instead I get some half-arsed "I warned you before about drinking too much, it really isn't good."

*yawn* I want to see some Short Recoil style ass kicking!

Agreed. More drinking should ease the pain.

I do drink VERY occaisionly however, i think my yearly intake of alcohol is probably less than the average weekly intake of a male my age.

How old are you, short recoil?

Anyways, I am sober out of choice as well. Considering some things buddies have mine have to do others/themselves in the past, I consider my choice a blessing.

Coming up 20, you have made a good lifestyle choice
Lol the irony of that smilie

I don't need alcohol to enjoy myself.

It's a personal choice. Not drinking will benefeit me more than drinking will. Same goes for abstinence. Religious beliefs are part of it, but I still have the common sense otherwise to stay away from harmful things.

PS: <3 short recoil

I won't drink myself to the point where I can't walk, I have done it before and I didn't like it. Really I just drink to the point where my balance starts to go and my speech gets slurred, no further since I get all the benefits of a fun time but without the sick feelings of a hangover. Even that is something I don't often do.

Don't just quit altogether though unless you really feel like it, consider this as something of a warning that your body has just thrown at you. Make sure that when you drink it isn't to the point of borderline alcohal poisoning and it isn't too often.

Also to some of the people who don't drink at all, don't use stuff like this as a "See what can happen, so see why I don't" kind of excuse. It is actually very difficult to live the lifestyle required to get to even this kind of stage. Let alone go any further. Besides, a drink or two every once in awhile can actually be good for the body sometimes.

I have personally found that people (both who drink and abstain from alcohal) have this crazy misconception that you only have a choice between drinking to the point of passing out, or not drinking at all. It really does end up driving people to one extreme or the other. In the end though if you can find the sweet spot that exists in between then you can properly enjoy yourself without any real problems (assuming you aren't a violent drunk and you don't decide to do stupid stuff like drive).

Carpe diem. I'd rather die young than grow old without having lived a single day.

Younger than I expected.

Heh... I remember we had some kind of anti-drinking speil come by our school once. Somewhere in there was mentioned the possibility of having a tube stuck up your.....well......a hole that isn't meant to have things being shoved into...if you have alcohol poisoning. The kid next to me swore never to drink again. This was a Friday, I think. Regardless, the next day he was hammered like hell, and I gave him a good smack for good measure.

Don't know why I told that story. Funny, I suppose.

Real men piss Guinness the morning afterwards.

Don't let the volatile reactions of your body fool you into thinking otherwise. It's a charade it will eventually give up.
