Whats the biggest thing thats ever happened at your school/community ect.

Mine happened today at school.

A group of 30 army cadets were rumoured to be coming to fight everyone on the bridge at lunchtime, so about 200-300 people were outside form ages 12-16, about a third of the school were there - on the bridge just outside school. Well its only a small bridge about 5m-2m just a footbridge so there were people on both side of the river and on the bridge.

For about 5minutes they were waiting there, i was back on the school side of the river. Then on the other side of the field a group of 30 army gadets appeared about 200m away from the bridge. They were all Year 10/11 ages 15-16.

As they apporached students from my school started to shout insults.
We were there for 20 minutes allready and still no teachers had came out. When the cadets got 20 meters away, amazign events began to unfold.

What I'd like to say is that I lead the charge witha group of mates and owned them, the reality is quite the lesser.

So there 20m away, and then they start running at the group of 200-300 people, really running. Everyone starts to run away, 300 people running from 30, its was terrible no one stopped running, all thoose people who thought they were cock of the year and were 'well hard' ran, no machoism shone through this day.

Everyone managed to run back into school and no-one was punched.
Yet 30 people managed to rout 300.
Becuase our school is 'ard'

Im amshamed.
What similar events have you seen?

Your school redefined the meaning of owned.

I'd totally agree.
At least 50 of the people from my school were 15- male.

why did they just decide to "fight everyone on the bridge" for no reason? was there a particular group they were targeting?

One time back in year 11 or thereabouts, our school got invaded by a small gang of thugs from another school miles away. Apparently they had got in an argument with some kid from our school and had come to settle the score. How exactly they expected to do this, I don't know, since they would have had a hard job finding one single random kid in a school of 1500.

Anyway they waltzed in through one of the gates, and the teachers immediately put some weird "lockdown" into effect. Everything ground to a halt, teachers took shelter in buildings and kids were hurriedly ushered into whatever structure was nearest, as if some rampaging squad of T1000's had turned up in a school full of pupils called John Connor.

Myself, I gleefully ignored one of the music teachers who was desperately trying to get me to 'take shelter' in the music block, and walked about with an insane grin hoping to see a spectacle. Unfortunately I was in the wrong part of the school grounds and didn't see anything go down, but apparently the gang threw a 6 foot tall teacher called Mr. Little into a bush.

Rumours flew around about the gang waiting outside the gate until the end of school, and everyone psyched themselves for a rumble, but the spoilsport teachers called the police and aside from the kerfuffle at lunchtime, nothing really happened in the end. I think it snowed that day, too - totally surreal day.

One of my friends got beaten up in Year 10 by a bunch of Year 11's and some 17 year old from outside of school, kicking the crap out of him and jumping on him.

:| 17 year old got a night in jail but the others got away (they made stamping noises every time they saw him in school).

Kids really are thugs these days.

kids really need to be shot these days for any unruly behavioiur, that will fix them

We had one of the white guys at my school punch a Korean one day in the parking lot for stupid reasons. Both the guys were in my dorm, and the following night as I was sitting in our lounge watching tv, the white kid came in and sat down and started to watch TV also. We'll after a few minutes, 2 Koreans walk in, one of them is holding an axe handle (yea like the wooden handle part of an axe) and the other stands in front of the door leading outside.

Both the guys were my friends, and I was shocked to see what was about to potentially happen. We'll he turns around and looks at the Korean, and stands up and they start quietly insulting each other. Then the Korean pokes him in the stomach pretty hard with the axe handle, and he backs up (most likely in shock more than pain) and then starts to lunge at the guy, we'll he does get his arms around him, but immediately after that I grab whitey and pull him off the Korean, and put him on the floor. The Korean looked at us and laughed, and then they both walked away.

They both got suspended, whitey for punching the Korean, and the Korean for bringing an axe handle (yea, wtf) with the intention of assault.

The time one of my class"mates" got taken to court for slapping a male teacher's ass. :|

At secondary school i saw quite a few amazing things...

Some guy got a brick thrown at his head and broke it open... blood everywhere..

Some kid had his back broken (i think) because they were playing wrestling or something, he couldnt mov or anything.

We had endless amounts on rumbles, where like someone would say "so and so school is comming" and everyone would just start running around the school like crazy, banging on windows and just generally causing chaos and trying to run out of the school gates...

Good times :D

once when i wa s wee lil yr9, the yr 11's decided it would be fun to confuse the **** out of the teachers,
in the end about half the school was randomly running from one place to the other:p

was s ite to see 500 ppl running across the playing fields:p

twenty four person gang fight during school, several older gang members came in from off campus and started throwin it down... several expellings resulted.

Hahahah, that sounds classic

WTF

Are these schools from hell? These stories are shocking and depressing.

There was a stabbing at Wolverhampton Wulfrun College the other week. Gang related, of course. Pretty extreme.

But I'm in school, not college, so thats just something that happened in my area thats school related. We've had gangs come down to back up otha brutha's and shit. On my coach back you'd see 'em all walking hanging around in the village or following another group of people back, swinging their arms in the air and shouting jeers.

And there was a stupidly funny sniffer dog incident when, after being told the week before that sniffer dogs would be in the next few weeks, a year 9 kid, year 9 being 13/14 year olds, brought some E's into school. Stupid, stupid kid.

Oh, and there use to be a lot of racists fights, too. Last winter it snowed pretty bad so snowball fights were on the menu all around. Some year 11 threw a snow ball at some African kid, got him right in the back of the head. What does the African kid do? Retaliates with a fist. Knocks him out cold. Next thing you know, two groups of people shouting each other. Fight breaks out, loads of teachers come out, and its named a racist fight. Over a snow ball. Apparantly the African kid said he was targeted because of his race. :| Yeah..

Anyone who fights is a huge dumbass. All these stories disgust me.

most schools are, as far as i know (which goes as far as one college) :D

I remember a big fight at my college, the entire school (no kidding) was at the bottom of 'the field', by the bottom entrance. A fight with some kids from another college had been organised. Organised damnit! Apparently, someone had brought along their pet stanley knife. The funniest thing was watching 20 odd teachers trying to fight their way through a crowd of well over 300, while remaining organised.

This other college is less than 50 metres away. But surprisingly, this sort of thing doesnt happen often.

Another notable occasion was a teacher being put in prison for an 'incident' involving a girl. The fact that his name rhymed with 'pervy' was a godsend to all students.

Also, today, a teacher went around checking everyones right arms (wrists/up to elbow). We dont know why. Current theories include needles found in the toilets.

Im in year 13 now ( my final year), but these memories will stay for ever.

EDIT: i was never involved in any devious events, evar.

No, I've never been in any fights in school either. I broke someones glasses in middle school, mind. Oh, and I got punched in year 6 for being cheeky to some year 7's. They were making fun of my Darth Vader bag when I was walking home. :(

I should clarify my previous post, anyone who fights is a huge dumbass, except that of which is in acceptable limits of defending one's self.

(And no, this doesn't mean you can take revenge on someone punching you in a seperate instant)

If someone punches you and walks away, you don't fight back. You don't fight back in the future (get revenge) either. You report to an adult and let him be punished and you unpunished.

all my school went on strike, and when the head teachers came out everyone ran back in..LOL!

edit: except me of course:naughty:

We've had that before, too. Just recently before the holidays. This new thing has been introduced into our school called a 'Slueth' - bassically a horrible, green sick coloured peice of paper which records what a student has done wrong in class (eating, shirt tucked out, no work) and can be filed for future refrence. Some kids didn't like the idea of having 5 minute detentions (omg) for getting two of them so they got half the school together, went to the back of the field and sat down. Bell rings, teachers come out, everyone moves. I had good seats watching the whole thing, too, as I had PE and was playing Rugby on the field at the time.

Went on strike? What the hell for, low wages? It's just school you bunch of angsty teenagers.

Haha, welcome to the West Midlands...

You go to school in Birmingham? Do you mind me asking which? You can PM me if you like. Only I know at least 3 people who go to school in Birmingham and maybe you know them.

I don't actually live in Brum. Just put it as my location. I live like a 30 min car ride out of Brum in a little chav filled place called Stourbridge.

The seniors last year made a big fire of books and paper on the football field, it was great fun.

wow my school looks like a paradise compared to yours

the only big event was a fight beetween 2 grades in a football game(real football not american football)aparently one of tems scored a goal but the other team denied so rumble, there was blood but the bad thing is that I wasnt there, but in the afternoon class I could see the blood in the floor, but it wasnt much

Oh yeah, this larger lad in our year got into a fight because someone poured coke on him or something, he's pretty slow, but strong, landed one good punch which made the most sickening noise of nose-breakage I've ever heard. He tried to leave it at that, but the other guy didn't know when to leave it, blood pouring down his face and he was still trying to get the other lad to carry on. :-/

Nothing much interesting at my school, but at my brother's old school a lot used to happen.

The Principal got knocked oput by some Mauri kid whom he told to put out his cigarette out.

Cant really think of anything else at the moment.

Well, I havn't seen many fights or "events", but I remember something I did in sixth grade at lunch that may have started something.

I was a real dumbass, I got a packet of mayonaise from the salad bar, held it over the trash can, and squeesed it to the end aiming down. Little did I realize, there was less hold on the tear mark, so it shot out, and hit some 8th grader on his shoulder and makes a huge blob of mayo :D

Him and his friends all look and are like "Aww, dude, who the hell did that?" I was gone before they caught me though.

Muck-up days are like the only thing that anything's ever happened.

And they weren't fights.

Although my favourite memory is when a group of year 12s broke into the local RTA office, stole some traffic barriers, and diverted all the traffic from one street into the school carpark. And it was a main road, too.

Also a kid jumped off the top of our science block last year. No-one ever found out why, but he lived anyway.

*shrug*

It wasn't on school property, but it was very much school-related.

I used to go to an International School and we used to share the building with a Swiss school before a new campus was constructed. I won't go into much detail, but let's just say that we didn't really like each other.

Any way, one weekend me and my friends were sitting over the parking garage getting shit-faced on cheap beer before going into the pub across the road. Then we notice that a group of people a few metres down from us were mocking our speaking of English. We ignored them, not wanting to get into any shit. This continued on for a while until one of them shouted to us "**** you, ISB" (ISB was my school) and we realized they were a bunch of twats from the FG (the school we used to share a building with). We decided to move off somewhere else, but they kept the shit up. So I, with my infinite sensibilities and wisdom, said the obligatory "**** your mothers" to a group of people that were two grades older and outnumbered us.
We ran like hell while they tossed beer bottles and other objects at us in fury, running a block and then around a corner before stopping to bitch and moan. Some person we were hanging with said he could call up his mates and we could go back there and **** 'em up. All of us, being relatively drunk at this stage, unanimously agreed to it. We waited half an hour before being greeted by four huge turkish dudes. We strided back to the location.
Things heated up, of course. Fingers were pointed, people getting in each other's faces, I repeated "**** your mothers" for the purpose of clarification, and some people were desparately trying to keep level heads. Soon enough. two more of their guys showed up and I reckoned we were on fairly even terms at this point.

I don't know what started it exactly, but at some point a beer bottle was broken over somebody's head and then the shit storm went loose. Fists, kicks, tackles, chokes, being dragged across the ground. Some people had knives, but I don't recall anybody getting stabbed. I myself managed to get somebody to the pavement and knock the crap out of them before getting kicked straight in the face. And if you looked out at all, you'd see the "level heads" from both sides getting stoned with eachother and simply watching. It was surreal.
Then we all heard whistles and saw two park cops heading over to our direction. The fight instantly broke up and we all dispersed at super speed in every direction. Me and my friends all found ourselves alone. After waiting a few minutes, we figured "screw it" and headed to the pub. There we all met up, meeting our other friends that had been waiting there already. They were so shocked to see us showing up with bloody noses, scrapes, bruises. We all sat down and ordered a pint as if nothing happened.

In retrospect, it was a stupid ****ing idea.

Meh, Bomb threats, stink bombs, and huge brawls are the only things that happen here.
