Thought it'd be interesting to see what hl2.net thought on this matter.

Wait for the poll, please.

Considering most Scottish folk appear to want this anyway, I voted yes. Because there isn't really and doubt that the majority would vote for it.

Yes - Scotland has a feasable chance of having a sustainable economy so they should be granted the opportunity.

I have one question: Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are getting / have gotten devolution (As far as I know). Why isn't England getting it?

I don't think we're all that ready for it to be honest. It's fair enough having national pride and all that, but this is not 1314 and we haven't just won a pivotal battle in our nations history.

I'm not exactly sure Alex Salmond wants it for all the right reasons, mainly just to say "I DONE IT FOR THE LULZ".

Why? You seem pretty happy under the rule of England.

If they paid me, I'd support them.

According to Braveheart you are ****ing independent.

Don't tell me the movies lied to me again. What was that william wallace shit all about HUH?

Because then the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish MPs wouldn't be able to inflict crap legislation on us and ignore it in their homelands. :hmph:

Anyway, No.

Or yes, followed by an invasion of Scotland.

I wonder what the rest our the country would be call if Scotland left. "The United Kingdom of England, Wales and Northern Ireland"?

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Minus Scotland :p

So if there's a Great Britain, where is Britain Minor? The Island of Ireland?

Note: This is a trick question. The answer is Borneo.

In Irish the name for Wales litterally translates as Little Britain.

they would turn the loch ness monster into a super dinosaur whit mechanics implants and nuclear missiles launchers and theyr economy will be boosted by sales of skirts and franchises of haggis

and the brits would be doomed

The Scots wouldn't last a week!

"Since 1975 some ?120bn ($180bn) of Scottish oil revenue has flowed to the London Treasury. Meanwhile some 30% of Scots live in cold damp housing, below the official European Union poverty line. It is a disgrace. Scotland is the most energy rich country in Europe, yet is probably the only country to discover oil and get poorer."

We'd be fine :smoking:

there is absolutly no need for scotland to have independance..we have had two scotish PM`s in succsesive terms..Blair (the war mongering pro islam..pro immigration,,anti native scumb bag)
Brown..(the unelected tyrant..)

together thay ran the militery into the ground and polished over crap to try make the NHS look good..they have together presided over a million illigal immigrants coming here..and forced up house prices in the english south so much so that british people..(natives) cannot afford to even buy a home let alone get one from local authorities.

how can scotland get independance when scots clearly are incapable of leading a funeral procession. never mind a government. England needs independance long before scotland does.

If Scotland left, I think NI would go too. I don't think that a majority of Scottish people actually support separation, but if they want it they should have it.

British-ness would cease to exist though, as Britain is the Union between Scotland and England.
