In this hilarious send-up of Lovecraftian horror and steampunk adventure, President Abraham Lincoln's top spy is a bodyless head known only as Screw-On Head.

When arch-fiend Emperor Zombie steals an artifact that will enable him to threaten all life on Earth, the task of stopping him is assigned to Screw-on Head. Fortunately, Screw-On Head is not alone on this perilous quest. He is aided by his multitalented manservant, Mr. Groin, and by his talking canine cohort, Mr. Dog.

Can this unorthodox trio stop Emperor Zombie in time? Does Screw-On Head have a body awesome enough to stop the horrors that have been unleashed? Where can we get a talking dog?

All these questions (O.K., maybe not that last one) will be answered when you watch the thrilling tale of The Amazing Screw-On Head!

loved Mignola's work on Hellboy

Who is this Mike Mignola you speak of?

Edit: OMG. EVERYONE watch it, and then fill out the pilot survey so it goes on the air.

Holy shit that was ****ing fantastic.

Really, everyone should at least give this a try. The writing is sharp and hilarious, the art is great, and the voicing is spot on.

Ooooh, I love Mike Mignola and I love Hellboy and I love the floating head character who appears in Conquerer Worm etc so I'd better give this a gander...

EDIT: Hooooly shit that was awesome.

If this doesn't become a full TV series...I will be forced to declare war on the Sci-Fi Channel.

Oh, definitely. I was just saying that the other day: "Man, Emperor Zombie really steals the show."

POPPYCOCK!

Oddly I find the little detail jokes in this to be the funniest thing. :D
Like when Screw interrupts Mr. Groin at the end by sticking his hand out and saying "Only when spoken to!"

I'd like to point out that Screw On Head got mentioned at Penny Arcade today.
I'd gotten to Ugly Hill when, looking down at Paul's post, I saw Mike Mignola's unmistakable art. I had heard from our own editor at Dark horse that Mike was doing something completely unexpected, something called The Amazing Screw on Head, and it's apparently leapt from comics to animation. Let me echo Ugly Hill's own desperate plea: watch this pilot. Fill out their survey. I wonder if getting the type of television we want is actually as easy as telling them.
If that doesn't help it get on the air I don't know what will.

I've been a big Hellboy fan for the past two years, so I had to check this out. I loved the pilot. I love the gagdets, mythology, and humor. This really reminded me of The Tick. This needs to go on air.
