Well, my problem is, everywhere I check, my sata controller is recognized as an scsi controller. I realize I installed the scsi drivers that came with my mobo back when I was installing xp, but those are the drivers my motherboard manual instructed me to install.

Now the HDD I have runnning on the sata/scsi controller is a Raptor I, which as we all know, is an sata drive. My motherboard has both sata II and sata ports. The sata II ports are controlled by the chipset, and the sata ports are on a seperate raid controller built into the mobo.

So my question is, is something going wrong here? Or should I be just fine? I've been running on this install for a month or two now, and have had no problems at all. My drive is performing superbly.

Oh and the Device Manager lists both the sata II controller (chipset) and the seperate sata controller. The sata controller is listed as "Silicon Image SiI 3114 SoftRaid5 Controller" which I know for a fact is correct, since it is also listed as that in my mobo manual. It lists the drive on that controller as "SiI SCSI Disk Device", which is the same as what my bios reports it as.

I'm really confused.

I'd say that if the drive is working fine, and it is showing up as being present everywhere, then there is nothing to worry about out.
