SDK steam ERROR

I get this error every time i try to load vhl or sdk from steam .... Please help me out , I already tryed to take the steam.dll from the steam folder and place it in there i just get anthoer error about the steam engine not loading...

It took you longer to upload the bmp than it would have to type out the error. ALWAYS CONVERT!

First question: do you have FileSystem_Steam.dll in the folder it mentions?

yes i do have one in my sdk bin folder.

You say you moved the Steam DLL - did you move it back? If you did then it's a Windows problem and you'll have to look elsewhere.

Ok forget what i said before in my frist post because that only happens when i run valvehammer by it selfs EXE but this is the error i get when i try to load sdk from STEAM:

Can't find steam.dll relative to executable path: c:\program files\valve\steam\steamapp\[email protected]\sourcesdk\bin.

And i copyed the steam.dll from C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam to

c:\program files\valve\steam\steamapp\[email protected]\sourcesdk\bin

And i still get the same error.

I get another Error when i want to start the source SDK:

Ive got the same problem.....Ive reinstalled the SDK but that didn't work (has that ever worked for anyone, I wish people would stop recommending that)

So that was a waste of time......my SDK crashed half way through my Compliling then the errors started coming, THEN I got a small update, strange..so maybe the update removed my steam.dll but didnt put it back.

any help would be great, the help for this problem ive read on other sites seem to just send people on a wild goose chase

yep, but is there something I can type into 'run' that will re-update? because it might have stopped halfway through the update or something...because my steam.dll has disappeared (annoyingly....as I was knee deep into my single player mod that was coming along very nicely indeed.....*gasp* with a storyline! not just defend the base *yawn*)

I had that, but when i updated my SDK it worked :x

is there a way of updating it manually? that would be useful, the next SDK update could not be for months.

I restarted steam and relaunched, the only advice i have is to backup your maps and delete your sdk folders, both of them. Then start the SDK up again to make new ones.
