It's made by jj abrams who made lost and mi 3 in both we found out nothing (I said mi3 as we never found out what the rabbits foot was). Why would this be any different. I'm not too fussed over not seeing the monster but I will be annoyed if they don't even give us a reason as to why this thing is there.

Abrams is producing the movie, not writing or directing it. He'll suggest and help out with making the movie to top notch standards much like he has done with Lost.

I'm 90% confident the ''monster'' will be shown. There's no point theorizing it will come out like the ''monster'' of Lost was shown because like it or lump it, it was shown loads of time in detailed and described/talked about more than a few times, too.
