Seen the new alienware laptops coming out?

Im leaving for school in about 20 days-praise Jesus Christ for getting me out of this difsucntinal house-so that means I GET A NEW COMPUTER!!! And Im thinking laptop because the damn things are so friggin convienent( I spelling disfunctional wrong on purpose k? but I dunno about convienent, looks okay...) How many of you dick around on your computer right before you go to bed? I bet thats atleast half of you guys and I bet you would love to just be on your computer in your own bed, I've wanted that for so bad, so I think a desktop would be best. Also, with the technology getting better for them, if you've noticed they now have "desktop replacement" notebooks, I think they should handle Half-life2 pretty well. Well I got the new MaximumPC and on the back they showed the new Area-51M system and it looks pretty sweet. Some highlights,

Yeah those are probly the best laptops around. I wouldnt get another laptop though. Dont upgrade well at all.

My comp is the same, actually, a little better than the top alienware computer, and mine cost $1700. Theirs = $3000+. Meaning I saved = $1300+ for a better computer.

i saw the a new alienware system on the screen savers and it is currently the only one with client upgradeable gfx card. wieght was a lil heavy though( almost 10 lbs) impressive lil thing though.

alienware is know for their optimization and exellent supprt for its customers, they just happen to made top on the line computers and are very aware of thier publity and take advantage of it with their prices. they are still one of the best retailers to get a comp from.

no shit, when i built mine (1.8 amd, GeForce 4, 512 DDR ram 40 gigs AN19E mainboard(FiC)) Alien was sellin em for 1500, mine cost $311.23, its called sells people, and frys! Computer shows are even better. Bet you ****ers havent built one, or atleast were'nt patient enough to wait for sells and shows.

btw, i didnt buy a new monitor, thats about $200 there.

Also with places like alienware you're payin for the snazy case, and alienware usually gets the lastest processors and graphics cards before they reach mass market, so you're payin extra for that too. Also you're payin extra for labor, did you know that at bestbuy its a $100 to have them put in a stick of ram? Crock of shit? No. I've been around awhile, you little ****ers need to show some respect.

I rember when all alienware did was sell custom cases.

Yes! I stand corrected. I'm getting the 9800 next month (old vid card was onboard), so add $299.99. Way better than the card that came with the AleinWare, but that was a few months ago, but still $600 dollars including card, is STILL less than half on of the AlienWare, will you people just agree with me that they're a rip off instead of agruing, either becuase you got some peice of shit prebuilt, or you're arguing for the sake of arguing.
