Sega cancelled Obsidian's Aliens RPG

Yeah, read that earlier this week. Very sad news. What a cool idea that was. :x

I Am glad to be honest. An RPG game based on the Alien franchise makes no ****ing sense whatsoever.

Pretty sure this game had a lot of fanfare around it actually. I think even with RPG elements it would have generated plenty of revenue

I know a few people in the industry who played an early demonstration build of the game and they both say it's a blessing the game got cancelled. Apparently it was shockingly bad.

The fear and menace an Alien should instill kind of vanishes when you're standing a few meters away trading blows turn based stylee. Visually it was a crock too.

AvP3 is going to suck.

Funnest way to do an Alien RPG that I can think of would be playing an alien and having to take down a huge ship all by yourself.

Rebellion has sucked in the past few years. AVP3 is gonna suck. The only worthwhile game they have made since AVP was Rogue Trooper.

Sega is still funding Colonial Marines, guys.

Where else are Sega going to get the funding to keep creating all these shitty new Sonic games, cause it's certainly not though sales.
You'd be surprised at how well even bad Sonic games sell.
Investing in secret project DCII I ****ing hope.
Shut up, man. Don't even joke about that.
