I take a break from University work and find a very nice piece of news awaiting me from Mr. Doug Lombardi, Sega are providing us with more great games on Steam!

The powers to be are clearly not content with raping a wonderful book and releasing it as a stripped-down movie (Golden C- Northern Lights); there's also the shitty, cynical game cash in.

Northern lights is the golden compass?

What the fuck?

Yeah, it's the American name. The Golden Compass is the Northern Lights.

Trailer looks awesome with Daniel Craig as Lord Asriel and Iorek making an fighting appearance too, I loved those books. Sadly The Golden Compass is such a poo name for it, Northern Lights was much better. And it's an atheiometer (or something...not a compass) Ah my childhood is ruined!

But good to see more total war games coming to Steam, I'm never going to complain about that!

Good call on Sega's behalf though - they need to deliver products by whatever means necessary, they haven't been profitable for 1 year + now.

Maybe that's because they've ruined every single IP they have, just a thought.

Sega just plain sucks. The Dreamcast was awesome and any Sonic with the Genesis was their highlight.

so will prices be absurdly high for the rest of us like the other publishers?

Interesting, given I've just accepted a job with Sega as a games tester. I wonder if I'll be testing any games on the PC?

If they port old Genesis/Gamegear games to the PC, my wallet will be open for them. Otherwise...
