Hard to tell, I think his knee-jerk reaction was that he was either offended or just blown away that Larry was so oblivious to the facts about Seinfeld.

He probably wasn't truly offended, but then he started really trying to play it off in the end like he was joking the whole time, possibly exaggerating how much he was actually joking around.
