Sega are continuing to release their old titles on Steam (which I am not displeased with). Now available are:
  • Crazy Taxi
  • SEGA Bass Fishing
  • Sonic Adventure DX
  • Space Channel 5: Part 2

There's a tenner each, or thirty bucks for all four.

Link.

Despite being a big Sonic fan I've never played a single one of the 3D games. If the port is playable and I get a decent USB controller I might pick Sonic Adventure up at some point.

I would of been more excited if the Shenmue Collection was on there

Heh.. bass fishing...

But really, I could probably go to the local flea market and pick up all of those and a dream cast for a little more.

Need Hydro Thunder, Spawn: In the Demon's Hand, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Shuffle (online play would be beautiful).

So many good games.

I got myself Bit.Trip Beat and its awesome. Now I want Crazy Taxi but I promised I wouldn't buy any new games, that just goes to show how good my self control is :(

Needs more Rez, Shemmue and Sonic Adventures 2.

How about a game of Lucky Hit?

You guys do realise that SEGA can only publish the games they made themselves? At least, not unless they can get those other devs' permission, but they'd have to share the profit! D:

Has anyone actually bought one? I'm interested in how well done the emulator/port.

If the games mentioned in the thread so far are obscure to you, you have the wrong hobby.

Crazy Taxi is nice.. so is SC5, but they could have seriously picked some better launch titles for this little adventure into Steam.

Jet Grind Radio and Crazy Taxi were my favorite DreamCast games (That I owned)

I thought it was Jet Set Radio? Two different series? Sequels to each other?

Its seems a little disingenuous that everyone spazzes about 1 very particular Dreamcast game that seems alike to many games that have come out after them. The only things I touched on the Dreamcast were RE CV and Sonic Adventures( I thought it was awesome at the time, definitely true to the concept)

I'd like Jet Grind Radio and Shenmue :p but I'm happy with Crazi Taxi, my PS2 copy never really worked right.

I drove a forklift today at work. I felt like Ryo Hazuki. :)

But have you passed your forklift driver's test yet? The man who gives the test is a personal friend of mine...

It's not just on Steam, it's on XBLA too and afaik PSN.

Anyway, I'd gladly bought it on XBLA if it had Shenmue 1 and 2 instead of certain other titles.

I liked the lifting job you had in Shenmue 2 more, the sounds Ryo and his friend made when lifting were hilarious.

Note, it was the Dreamcast PAL version of Shenmue 2 I played that only had the original Japanese voices, not the English ones recorded for the XB1 port.

Man, I wish they'd make a good Shenmue 3 for the current gen platforms.:(
