I'm going to sell my Playstation 2, I never use it anymore it's just not as much fun as it used to be, but I need your suggestions on what the price should be.
Here is what I have (games, strategy guides, and the consoles)

Consoles :
Playstation 2 unit
Playstation 1 unit

Playstation 1 games :
Final Fantasy 8 - All 4 discs, all work, no scratches
Final Fantasy 9 - All 4 discs, all work, no scratches
Shadow Madness - Both discs work, unscratched
2000 Collector's CD Vol. 3 - Contains 7 demos
Monoply - Unscratched
NFL Gameday 2000 - Unscratched
NHL FaceOff 200 - Unscratched
NHL Rock The Rink - Unscratched
PBA Brunswicks Circuit Pro Bowling 2 - Unscratched
Knockout Kings 2000 - Unscratched
Ford Racing - Unscratched
WWF Smackdown! 2 - Unscratched

Playstation 2 games :
The Bouncer - Unscratched
Gran Turismo 3 A-spec - Unscratched
Dynasty Warriors 3 - Unscratched
Socom U.S. Navy Seals - Unscratched
Red Faction - Unscratched

Accesories :
Two 8mb Memory cards
Two controllers
Final Fantasy 8 Strategy Guide
Final Fantasy 9 Strategy Guide
All of the appropriate cables
Netork adapter used for playing online games (SOCOM Has online modes)

Everything works, the Playstation's have been used but they are still running strong.
I plan on selling this on E-bay and was wondering what your thoughts on what the starting price for it should be, and how much you think I should get out of this. Also I was wondering if I get a buyer, do I ship it to him/her, or does he/she pay for the shipping?

200 sounds good...maybe u can possibly push 250

For all that? First find out what it is retail. I don't have a ps2 or any games for one (logical), so I have no idea pricewise. Find out retail price then ask for two thirds maybe?

Well the Playstation 2 is now $150.00 retail, but you have to keep in mind theres 2 units inside there, and MANY games, including a network adapter.

$450-500, I'd say. Most of the games you have aren't exactly sought after.. but, I'd think you could get atleast that

You sure anybody would bid that high on ebay?

so starting price maybe $200.00?

$200 seems ridiculously low for all that you're putting in that package.. in my experience, eBayers can be pretty dumb. I've seen hardware go for $30 more than it is at retail easily, and I have no idea why.

Maybe $450 was a bit of an overshot, I'd put the starting bid at $300 and see what kinda bids you get

Id set the instant sell price at 350-400 for all that.

try to get as much as you can bro....if people dont buy it you can always put it up later at a lower price.

DUDE!!! Don't sell your PS2!! I know you probably want a quick hardware upgrade for your comp. in prep. for HL2, but keep it. I put my PS2 up on ebay, thought that I wanted it back, and was so glad that no one even bidded on it. DRIV3R, MGS3, Psi-Ops, Spider-Man 2, San Andreas, Killzone, and all the other sweet games are P.I.M.P. I just got GTA3 for the first time, and man, it is sooooooooo tight! I don't really like playing third-person games on the computer, so I will definitely get games like DRIV3R on the PS2. Plus, you can play against friends in your living room on a MUCH bigger screen (sit far away to remove jaggies  ) Hey, I just chewed this thread up, gargled it with a hawked up loogie, and spit that sucker down the drain!

I'm not going to keep something that I haven't had interest in, in a year..

big chunks of stuff rarely sell unless you practically give it away, try this:

do 2 items ... do a ps1 pkg and a ps2 pkg, try for 50% of full msrp retail as a starting price, DO NOT TAKE CHECKS!! MONEY ORDERS OR PAYPALL ONLY!

remeber your target buyer.. chances are he won't want 2 systems and not have$500 bucks in one spot to spend just on consoles..

the reality is you are competeing against what he can buy it for on the street.
surf ebay for your competition first then under bid them..

Selling the items separately or in smaller chunks will probably be easier, but will leave you with the three or four items that nobody wants.

what are you doing, driv3r out in a week and gta:sa on the way, your intrest has to come back for those

Oh yeah I forgot,: Jak 3, Socom III (theyre already working on it), Gran Turismo 4, Timesplitters 3 that will support online (w00t!)- all exclusive to the PS2. I WAS IN THE SAME SIT. AS YOU 2 MONTHS AGO. Then I got back into b/c I like the exclusive games. Ah well,...

how the bloody hell did i forget GT4

*me punches self*

But if I sell in small chunks won't the shipping cost me alot?

divide in 2 groups , ps1 and ps2 items separate groups , have the buyers pay shipping, thats customary on ebay anyway .. not seller .

buyers pay for shipping. If you've never bought or sold anything on ebay before (therefor having zero feedback) you'll prolly have a harder time selling something on ebay. buyers want to know that they're going to be dealing with a reputable person

i sold mine for £110 on ebay with 2 controllers mem card thps 3, 4 and thug, gta 3 and smugglers run that was cos of buy it now :( wish i put a higher price on it it sold in 1 day 170 sounds good for yours

450-500?! are you crazy? there's not a single game there you couldn't find at a used game store for under 15-20 bones.

not to mention nobody's going to pay for a ps1 along with a ps2 when the ps2 already plays ps1 games.

plus i'm guessing it's an older ps2 which isn't as quiet or reliable as the current ps2s in the stores.

I already said that was a bit of an over statement, read the whole thread before you decide to reply to a specific reply.

Edit: It was TWO posts down..

I know, I read the whole thread. I was merely stating my reasons for that being such an overstatement. No need to get so damn defensive.

dont sell it ;x
i havent really played my ps2 since arounf febuary of 04. but i know when all these games (the ones stated above) come out this year and next year ill be back on the PS2 for a bit.

cant wait for GTA:SA + GT4 + MGS3:SE
but i guess if you must sell it i guess go ahead and put it on ebay. i would put the price at 250-350 usd ;x

There are some great games coming out but it doesn't sound like RTFMish isn't ready to run out and throw down 150+ bucks once they do. My advice, if your that bored with your PS2 and your games then sell em. Then wait til the PS3 comes out so your all geared up for the next gen consoles and their games. Plus you'll be able to go back and buy the PS2 games you missed out on (and at a much cheaper price too, assuming Greatest Hits status).
