At which sensitivity do you play at? A lot of my friends play at a very low sensitivity, which drives me absolutely nuts when I take over for them for a while! I thought it'd be a bit interesting to see which sensitivity others play at. Myself, I play at 7.56. No more, no less!

I play at 1.000000 :D

Still a little bit high, but I've gotten used to it.

Used to have 25 sensitivity...that was so fun. That is how I got alot better at awping. then I started going down slowly to get better aim with ak/colt. 20-15-10-5-2...didn't like 2, went up to 4, that's where I stay

6. But settings outside of the game can change how fast that really is, so I use the rule of just being able to do a 180. Some say you should be able to do a 360, but that makes aiming to hard for me.

rofl at the 360 :D :D ...whats the point of 360? :p

180.. 3.0 sens.

I play with it at 8-9.

I'm thinking about turning it down for better aiming though.

I use 10.0 I haven't changed it in a few years now though, maybe it's time to try something new.

i never understood why anyone would use low sensitivity. they even have mousepads that are like 2ft wide and 1ft high, just so you can have free range of motion. what is the point? and the people who use it on small mousepads, have to constantly re-adjust and re-center their mouse. so you get unnecessary movement, way less accuracy, etc... i'm not trying to flame anyone, i mean... to each his own, i just dont understand it at all. i've played on sense from 1.0 - 13.0 and the lower the sens, the sh*ttier i play. maybe its because i grew up on quake and unreal, where its extremely fast-paced and where you need high sensitivity and such. i dunno. you need to be able to re-act quickly and aim quickly and accurately, none of which you can do with low sensitivty lol.

my sens = 11.0

2.5 for me.

It's easier to aim with low sensitivity. I used to play with 10 sensitivity but later I found that I could control where my crosshair goes more easily after I got used to playing with lower sensitivity. :sniper:

I have not played CS:Source yet, but in regular CS I have it at 2.2, which for me is perfect. Low sensitivity is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better, especially for counter-strike, because you can do precise (aka headshot) aiming much easier. The best players in the world ALWAYS have low sensitivities.

Up until a week ago I was at 13. My mouse occasionally jumps and stuff...so I didn't want this to affect me so much. I also heard that some of the best players out there play with extremely low sensitivity. I bumped it down to 6 and it's not as slow as I thought it would be. I like it and I'm doing better actually. More precise aiming for the head is handy.

Sorry, but I really think only noobs would have their sensitivity anywhere over 5, unless somehow other factors contribute to a lower sensitivity than most at a certain setting. How well do most of you do who have sensitivities around 10? Do you ever win games online?

best players who have better aim always use higher sensitivity. cuz it's much easier to make fast manuevers and aim faster.

I use exactly 10.0 and have an average ratio of 2 or 3 : 1 while playing.

This poll is useless. Sensitivity values don't mean anything if you don't post your windows sensitivity and in case of logitech, also your driver sensitivity with it.

In the good old CS, the default sens of 3 used to be PERFECT. Now in HL2, it seems like I have to bump it up once or twice to get the same feel, so 4-6.

I find source is nowere near as responsive as the original cs for aiming, my character movement seems slightly behind my hand movement, the original half life engine dont do this at all.

Thinking of maybe trying the MX510 as I have been using the same 2 quid mouse for as long as i can remember

I haven't even played CS:Source, but I know that a sluggish mouse is usually a sign of a computer that can't keep up with the game. A new graphics card would help. I'm still using a Ge-Force 4 Ti-4200, which will run the game, but if I want it to be smooth I'm pretty much going to have to play it at 800-600 with everything turned down. It's not the game, it's not your mouse, it's probably your computer.

17.2

Never more or less. Only reason for less would be sniping(so 15 or so).

all the time... do you? i'll rush around a corner, and while you are busy re-centering your mouse so you can take another 5 seconds to aim, i'll already have pwned you and 2 of your teammates. as far as 'pro CS players' go... i've found more with higher sensitivity, than those with lower, but thats just my experience.

I can't help but think this thread is totally pointless seeing as those numbers don't mean anything!!!

I could have my sensitivity set at 2 in game and another at 10 and the person at 10 would be less sensitive due to different mice, mousepads and windows mouse sensitivity settings.

Soo... this number thing means nothing.
