AFTER seeing "911: the Road to Tyranny," I am motivated to investigate:

This forum is for rumor & speculation on Half-Life 2, not real life events, the thread should be in General Off-Topic Chat. :)

I love non-anonymous polls. You get to see exactly who swallows the government's story, hook, line, and sinker.

I wont say the government isn't keeping any secrets, but I know for sure we won't be finding them out and its almost certain that what we think is the truth most likely isn't. There is too much in the world that we simply don't know about, nobody knows everything, even those in the highest positions of government.
I know though, that two planes crashed into the world trade centre, and a plane crashed into the Pentagon. Beyond that...heh...who knows?

I don't see where this guy gets his "facts", he's about as much credible as a Hamas spokesman. Trust no one. ;)

I think "coverup" may be a tad strong, but I'm sure they're keeping a lot of secrets to brush over their own negligence and the mistakes they made.
However, complicity in the attacks just seems a bit too far fetched.

Farrow - Don't be so sure that a plane crashed into the Pentagon! Remember all those flash movies people posted? Wow, were they full of evidence! Yup, they proved loads. Except they lacked a motive... Amongst a whole host of other gaping holes in the story :hmph:
There's a lot of tin foil nonsense about the attacks. Seems that, on both sides of the fence, people can't just let it lie and get on with their lives.

Here's an excerpt from Al Franken's book Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right that is related to the topic at hand.

NOTE: If you don't like reading, the page with the excerpt has links to Real Audio clips of Al Franken reading it for you.

The first time I read one of Al Franken's political books (Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot, and Other Observations) I was just expecting mostly humor and a juvenile tone. I was pleasantly suprised. I mean... the books are funny, but they cover a lot of serious topics and back up the important claims with evidence (that said, I wouldn't take Al Franken as the be-all and end-all authority on politics... if something sounds outrageous, do some research for yourself). If you're liberal, open-minded, or both you'll probably enjoy his books... that is, unless you hate fusing political writing with comedy. They're sort of like the "Daily Show" of political books.

EDIT: Is anyone else experiencing severe slowdowns and timing out on the forums or is it just me?

I don't like politics a whole lot, but I thought I'd let you know you're not the only one experiencing severe slowdowns and timing out.
