Interesting. To me, at least.

1st Single/video from the album, called The Unthinking Majority.

Sounds a little too much like system of a down to me.

Sounds too much like SoAD though I liked the part where he talked about anti-depressants.

This one's better quality: http://www.serjtankian.com/

And yeah, I'm really surprised at how much this is like System of a Down. Usually when a band member goes off to do some solo work it's very different than what he was doing previously. This is more System of a Down than the recent SOAD double album was. :P

I liked the part where he talked about anti-depressants.

The song may be repetative, but that part is damn catchy.

Shit sucks. The best part was the quiet piano/acoustic bit right before the anti-depressants verse, mostly because it wasn't a crappy riff and it didn't have any goddamn hey-I-don't-know-what-iambic-pentameter-is versing in it.

I disagree, but I can see how some wouldn't like it. Serj has the capability to be a brilliant vocalist, he has a beautiful voice, its just he tends to go for the yelling/screeching route more often.

Ugh, God... that sounded awful.
But then again, I'm not even a huge SoaD fan to begin with... I loved Toxicity though.

New song, called Empty Walls.

Serj is support for Foo Fighters on the upcoming UK tour. Blarhjbd.

Meh. It's mediocre at best.

I expected much more from old Serj, I see that he plays acoustic guitar so why doesn't he just sit down and write some proper Armenian tunes to coincide with his political ramblings? Instead of this hybrid of generic rock chords, wailing and the odd mandolin in the background that he's thrown together as a solo effort.

Edit: sea beat me to it pretty much
