Server Browsing confusing?

I have a question about the server browser.

Is it at all possible to choose a server, such as going into steam, pressing servers, then selecting L4D?

There's an entry for Left 4 Dead, but not for the demo.

Possible for release though.

So far will only work in game.

Enable console
type "openserverbrowser"

This will only let you connect to servers with lobby joining disabled.
