Server Listings...WTF?

Is there any particular reason why my server listings are showing 273 or less servers? I have no filters on at all, and every time I refresh it will stop listing servers at around 270 and sometimes only show me 4. Also every time I refresh the number is always random, could be 234 or 112 or 4 or anything, but it never goes above 300.

I usually get around the 300-350 mark, but I was getting none most of the time. Favourites and history worked fine though.

Could be because most servers don't have the new update yet.

I don't think the filters work correctly. Even if I have everything set to "all", it will begin to show a lot of servers but will then filter them out. I usually can't find more than 25-30 active servers. Thought it was just me.

I get this problem all the time.

I also get another one. A lot of the time the TF2 server browser will experience a lot of latency, and all servers will have a ping of 200+, when a) my filter is set to <150ms, and b) I usually get around a hundred servers with that ping.

Both have occurred for the past month or so, possibly longer.

You're going to play on 1 server, why would you want to list more than a few hundred?

(you can always use The All-Seeing Eye)

Yeah, every server in my browser has 400 latency when first refreshed; but it's pretty easy to spot the Aussie ones.

i usually get around 300 servers an the filters seem to work fine for me.

I used to see counts in the upper 2000s. The other day there were only a couple of hundred, but I figured it was a coincidence. Is this an issue with the update? I'm about to go play now, so I guess I'll go find out.

Usually caused by a game update. I only got 10 the other day but slowly the list regrew as each server restarted with the game update.
