Server Varification Error

OK when I try to play CS 1.6 and try to connect to a server the game locks up at "Varifying Resources" and then after 2 mins gives me the error "Server Varification Error." Anybody know how to fix this?

What errors you getting in the console? Check it after.

Also make sure you havent got any programmes or firewalls blocking steam from starting cs.exe or something properlly.

Also try a variety of servers to see if its the same case which each one.

Any type of reinstall would be the last option, hopefully you can find something to not bother having to do that.

(oh and are you using cheats, or any mods or skins which could alter the game?)

NVM I fixed it... Needed to re-install 1.6 for some rason.
