Service Pack 2 RC?

My Windows Update is saying SP2 RC is ready to install, should I get it? I heard it's just like a beta version, but it has dx9c. Dunno, it says to back up your system before installing on microsoft's site.

I got it and it's not screwed up my system. Your mileage may vary though. The extra security stuff is nice and the bluetooth drivers work much better than the ones supplied my with dongle (shut up ) but DX9.0c is largely useless unless you have a GF6800.

What do you mean? Oh this is just for my home desktop, that what you mean?

I think he means if you run a business from it or develop software or something. There's a potential that it could muck things up and it's just not worth risking on a computer that contains critical data.
The chance is small, but there.

I installed it, it's fine. Some pretty good new features, I don't mind it.
