setting paths

Hello. Ive got a small matter at hand.

In the development of Quake Source, my mapper started a nice looking map that resembles an outstanding looking isrealie temple. However decided to sue the textures of CSS, and our base texture directory is HL2DM.

I was wondering if there was a way i can shave off 200MB of download time by adding an extra path to materials of CSS.

I know there may be a way, but the question is, where and how do i do this? Is it something i can script? or will my coder have to put this matter into his hands?
 
Add the cache number, 240, to the gameinfo.txt
 
hmm causes weirdness with a couple weapons, but thankfully neither of them will be in my mod. Thanks :)

this is Svins work so far on his map "Temple of Doom", its a Hammer Editor shot.
 
Definatly needs some texture work, but it looks pretty rad.
 
yeah i know. Were actually trying to get him to convert his textures to use HL2DMs. And if he wants the whole sandish texture, he can make his own tiny tga file and well convert to VTF :p Otherwise its an extra 30MB download for the first alpha, which im trying in my upmost power to avoid.
