Setting Up Hammer To Work With Steam?

Can anyone help me? im trying to get hammer to work with steam for when i am testing my maps but i cant seem to do it i found this tutorial http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=60745 but it only tells you how to setit up for making maps with NS but im using halflife.

Anyhelp?

Edit: oh im using 3.5 beta if thats any help
