Shading on guns texture error

Hey, when ever im in shaded areas or under tunnels my guns shading hes a green textury type look wherever there is shading on the gun. I have a screenshot but I dont know how to post it. Does anyone know how I can fix it. Im using a Radeon 9800 Pro with fully updated drivers.
 
I have a similar problem. When in dark areas, the weapons look grey, with purple and green pixelated areas. I'll get a screen tomorrow and post it.

Yeah that's because of custom maps that are lacking decent Cubemaps. Cubemaps are things that appear in scopes and on weapons that reflect the scenery around them. But some stupid mappers don't place these around their levels, and so you get crappy shader errors.
 
Oh yeah I see now. I think that's because the cubemaps use... something like 16x16, or 32x32 because it looks decent enough (for something that isn't that important) without killing your machine (for something that isn't that important).

I guess if you made a map using hammer, and when you placed cubemaps, upped the resolution of them to something like 256x256, then you wouldn't get those. but correct me if I'm wrong
