Anyone remember this hilarious game which was developed by 3DRealms? It's very similar to Duke Nukem 3D except that it takes place in China, in which you play as a ninja assassin named Lo Wang.

Even though the game isn't, in my opinion, as good or memorable as DN3D it still is a lot of fun, especially Lo Wang's cocky one-liners.

Despite being released in 1997, it's still possible to play it on recent computers. Do the following.

If you don't already have the full game you don't need to do this first phase.
Go to the 3DRealms website and download the shareware episode here.

Then go here to download JonoF's Shadow Warrior port in order to play the game without any troubles. You need this otherwise the possibility of a failure is high.

Once you've downloaded both, unzip JonoF's port to a folder and name it whatever you want. Then browse the Shadow Warrior shareware demo, unzip everything to a folder, then click on the "INSTALL.EXE" application. Follow the instructions, once you've successfully installed it, which shouldn't take too long, go into the folder you installed Shadow Warrior in. Locate the file named "SW.GRP", it's around 25MB, once you've done that just grab the file and move it over to JonoF's Shadow Warrior folder.

Okay, now you're set. But before you start be sure to FIRST launch the application named "setup.exe" so that you can change the resolution of the game, controls, mouse etc. Once you're finished just click on "Save and Run SW" and the game will launch.

That wasn't so hard, was it?

I'll try this when I get home tonight. :D

All's I need is Rise of the Triads and I'll be set. Asbestos armour? Ow, itchy!

Rise of the Triads was.... strange. Enjoyed it though. I stuck around for the whole of the end sequence, hehe - 'Am I Late?'

Too bad Monolith never released the source code for Blood, playing it on today's hardware is pretty difficult without any programs like JFDuke3D or JFShadowWarrior.

Yeaaah that Koi pond :D

I was like "Hawt, let's go for a swim OMG KILLAR FISH"

Gotta love all those lovely Duke Nukem rips.
Blood was my fav.

"I live AGAAAIN..."

When looking at the weapon arsenal in Blood, no game comes even close to what Blood offer, not even Duke3D. Aerosol can + lighter + pair of zombies = mother f**king win

This thread is going a bit away from the subject but I thought I would post this if someone wanted to play Blood without any troubles.

Guide here. Remember that you must follow the instructions exactly as it tells you.

"Burn baby."

It's funny that I have Blood and Shadow Warrior on my computer. The problem was, with Shadow Warrior, I couldn't have sound, and with Blood, the game was choppy (what the hell?).. Hopefully these things fix that.

And these game rock. Blood is awesome. Lots of gore.

I remember playing Shadow Warrior, and showing my mom. I must have been around 11 years old. I remember it was a part where there was a naked chick washing herself, and you could talk to her, and she then starts shooting you. I showed my mom that, and I'm surprized now that she didn't ban me from the computer from that.

Thanks guys, I officially want to reinstall Rise of the Triad.

Blood, so far, works flawless. The game no longer looks like complete crap and I can play it in an acceptable 800x600 resolution. The sound is a bit rusty (not crystal clear, some stuttering) but doesn't destroy the atmosphere.

Anyone knows how to grab screens in DOS games? Blood, unlike Shadow Warrior and Duke Nukem 3D, doesn't seem to have a screenshot button.
