Sorry if this question was asked before, but what's the deal in HL2 with dynamic shadows being screwed up everywhere? Take a look - on the first pic the shadow is directly underneath the beast with the light falling from the windows at a significant angle, on the second pic the the farther guy cast a long shadow in front of him but the source of light (doorway) is in front of him too.
You'll see it all over HL2, wouldn't it be more realistic to get rid of shadows altogether if the engine can't calculate them properly?
