So I'm searching through a site and I see something there.....it says powercolor and then x800 xt. I click on it and what do I find down there in red text? IN STOCK, yes thats right! I was shocked for crist sake lol, since this is the first time ever that I've seen a x800 xt card in stock(in my country). I have heard some bad news about powercolor on 9800 series and below but i found out that they have fixed those problems in x800 series, is it true?

Not only got I excited when I saw it but I allso found out that HL2 will come with it!

need some answers now, if i should get the powercolor or not.

P.S please don't move this thread because there aren't enough people in the other forum.

Do a google search and read some reviews on the powercolor version; if it's up to par, then go for it!

ok read some good reviews on it. Seems to be a good buy people are reporting good overclock rates good iq and stability. No comments or complaints about power requirenments.

I was going to buy an x800 xt myself but opted for the 6800gt only because of availability.

Thats my opinion

The rest is up to you.

i bought a powercolor radeon 9600 pro about 2 years ago . And it has ran flawless ever since. But, I might have gotten lucky or powercolor is a good brand, you decide. :p

Moved.

:)

I personally have heard bad things about PowerColor, underclocked stock cards etc

If it sucks can you give me a link to someone that had problems with powercolor x800 series? Since I've been searching on google for it and can't find anybody with a problem.

Just go for it. Worst comes to worst you can just eBay it for almost retail price.

They just went out of stock in 1 day, I was lucky that ordered it since all those other will come atleast in November......

Allso I don't trust ebay, you never know if its used or not. I allways want the new stuff(unused) and btw we don't have ebay here nor does anyone ship here from ebay....live in europe.

If I see a problem(which I don't think it'll have), I can allways return it and get my money back :)

when is the next time when yur planning to upgrade yur vid card?

When the next one arrives that will have PS 3.0 with 512 MB. From there I won't be upgrading for atleast 2 years.

I'm thinking about getting a PowerColor 9800 pro for like $280 canadian.....

Go for it, 9800 PROs are cheap and you've got nothing to loose ;)

I bought a Radeon 800 xt. I live in Canada and the stores here don't even have them. I got mine from Monarch computers.com. It was expensive but soo worth it.
