The loss of Sharon, even just from the political field if he survives and retires, would be a huge blow to peace efforts in the region. Could see a Likud takeover again from Kadima.
Kadima essentially takes the best stance on the issues, dealing and responding in force to acts of terrorism but making true advancements/compromises to secure peace in the region, rather than just holding out grudgingly till the end.
