Well, today is the day!...Finally! :bounce:

I just got home from school...and...

I'm going to see SHAUN of the DEAD at 5:15PM EST.
I'll give you a full write-up and review when I get back...this movie is gonna rock!

It's getting nothing but positive reviews! Even George Romero, the "God of zombie flicks", said himself: "An ABSOLUTE BLAST!"

Now you all know I am a zombie fanatic and I am more than certain that this "rom-zom-com" will not dissapoint.

Who else is seeing it?

Seen it, didn't make me laugh half as much as I thought it would

Congratulations :D

I loved the movie, fantastic british humour.

Same, but it was still a fantastic film, best in ages, and its not like i didnt laugh, its just the way people described it, i was expecting there to be more! :D

I loved the bit where they ran that guy over, and reversed to ask if he was allright :D

guys seriously, the guy who made it, he's called Simon Pegg, he has done some absolutely fanatstic British stuff you won't have seen because for some reason we don't think you guys 'get it'

Try looking up spaced, that's probably the best thing to take a peak at if you like the humour, he co-wrote it. He's been in loads of stuff though, from I'm Alan Partridge to Guest House Paradiso.

:D :bounce: ;) :)

Well. I just came back from the theatre and was happily surprised. It was great! The best zombie-comedy movie I have ever seen. I'd like to talk a lot about it and a lot of the scenes, but I doubt I have time or patience. Just to say...I loved it! Great head-shots, nice zombie-feasting, humor in the right places (and done right, too), and just funny all around. I would say: In the beginning and middle it was funny and a little gory, near the end it got real emotional, and the end was just chock-full-o-blood and a happy one. Great acting...
And I probably didn't get everything. I mean, some of that English speaking accent and such went right by probably. So, if I was English I probably liked the movie a little better. But I loved the movie altogether.

But one thing was a bit off here...where ever happened to that blonde girl. I forget her name. Not Liz, but the only other one. They didn't show her go into the cellar, so did she get munched on in the pub upstairs?

For anyone in the United States who has not yet seen this film, go see it ASAP. A must see! BRILLIANT!

Her name's Diane. She ran out of the pub and into the zombie crowd with a cricket bat or something when David got ripped to bits. I think it's best to assume she died as well.

Actually, it wasn't a cricket bat, it was her boyfriend's leg!
Ooooohh that part was hilarious. I love this movie.

It took that long to come out in the U.S.? OH well, it was great wasn't it? I think the best bit, close though it is, is the 'zombie impressions' sequence... ;)

Actually....

If you have the Shaun of The Dead DVD, in the Extras it says she survived; she climbed up in a tree nearby the pub and fell a sleep, stayed there for some days, eating on her boyfriend's leg, and when the army had cleared the area she got down from the tree and well...continued her life.

Has it just been released in the US or sometihng? I remember seeing this a while back. If you like it then you've got to check out 'Spaced' - a surreal comedy by the same writers (Simon Pegg,
Edgar Wright).

Yeah, hehe the extras are great, like all the extended tv bits etc :D

Meh, I was a bit disappointed because I had different expectations.

I knew nothing about the movie besides the trailer and the local newspaper review. The trailer made it seem like it was a comedy and the newspaper called it a "Romantic Zombie Comedy". Trailers and reviews need to do a better job of telling me what the movie is going to be about.

It was a hilarious movie, just wish there was more comedy in the second half of the movie. I'd give the movie 4 out of 5 stars.

Well apparently its coming to every movie theatre except any within 100 miles of me... Grrrrrr I really wanted to see this movie.

I know what you mean blah. Once they got to the winchester, the zombie movie fans could cheer, but the spaced fans not so much
