Once, I was a green grocer. I worked with a fool for whom everyone was a fool -- as in, ?Hey, fool. This one fool was wearing JNCOs.? Every day on the job, he explained how, in a Jackass world of action without consequence, he would demolish the joint by driving a bulldozer in and doing donuts. He didn't hate his job. Haggen, our workplace, wasn't one Caterpillar sale away from catastrophe. What he didn't like was that if he wasn't working there, he'd probably have to work at a place he liked less.


Hopefully you're wondering what this has to do with me leaving a job I love (yes, I'm leaving). Everyone dreams of dramatic exits? I dunno.

damn he was the only reason to listen to GFW Radio ..which wont be continuing without him


damn that just leaves the 1up show (which elliot makes an appearance on every now and then) for entertaining gaming podcasts but they focus far too much on ds and wii games which bores the hell out of me
 
Ah man, Jeff Green just split too. It's too bad GFW Magazine went down the tubes, but I suppose its amazing they stuck around as long as they did. There are still lots of awesome people at 1UP, and 1UP FM is quick becoming another awesome podcast, but it still sucks to see such a core person leave.

Edit: Holy crap he's leaving to go work with Ken Levine at 2K Boston (makers of Bioshock for the normal people reading). That is awesome.

Losing Jeff was bad enough, but this is a real kick in the balls. Without a doubt one of the most insightful game Journalists I've ever come across, and funny as **** at the same time.

Still he's teaming up with Ken Levine at 2K Boston and they are going to be all the better for it, though my Thursday afternoons at work aren't going to be as much fun without the podcast going.......:(

Maybe chuff, Ryan and Max Chill will carry on in some form. 1UP yours is ok, but Sean B annoys the shit out of me and 1up FM is just a little too meh atm...

I'm sure many here won't have a clue who the **** Sean Elliot is, but I really recommend getting some of the podcasts on the download:-

He says he's keeping his Twitter feed alive, though.
 
Jeff Green, Shawn Elliot... Man, is it just me or is the entire games journalism business getting shaken down for good people?

I guess there's no better designer than a critical journalist! :P
 
Podcast was shut down.

Going to miss it quite a lot.
 
Once the GFW magazine stopped publishing, that severed the final connection between me and industry news. I was sad.
