Shield Must Go Down

Wow, I know eveyone and their mom has their points about the shield, but seriously, GET RID OF THE DAMN SHIELD!!

People either like the shield "Tactically" (yea my ass tactically, more like Noob-Tactics), and some people hate the shield altogether, like me.

But honestly, I just wanna play some cs, but all valve is trying to do is make it more "Realistic", oh but wait, whats this, don't we all play games to get away from "Realism"?? Yea you can make it realistic, but i know there are people who know what I mean.

But back to hating the shield. I get into a server, and ALL of the ct's have a damn shield, and most of em are glitching (not sure if they fixed it yet, they said they did, but it was still there), but even stupider than that, in old skool cs, it was all about learning to get leet by aiming and being quick and stuff like that, now all you do is buy a shield and run around and own people with a friggin pistol, A FRIGGIN PISTOL, N FRIGGIN AK-47 CAN'T KILL A NOOB WITH A SHIELD WTF IS THAT GAY SHI7!?!?!?!?

Oh and speaking of NOOBS, every NOOB who starts playing cs, gets the shield, and owns everyone with RIFLES with a friggin PISTOL. ITS RETARTED?? WHO THE HELL HAD THE IDEA OF THE SHIELD ANYWAYS, in my opinion, the shield needs to go out, and if you think about leaving it in, then the t's are gonna want something. Now this is where people started rumors about the Molotav Coctail, yea it sounds bad ass, but wow that will LAG like a mother father and a biscut, especially sitting and spawn and Molotav Coctail Spamming at the Nub ct's with their shields.

grenades work well on shields, also if you run up and jump you can shoot over the top and kill em. or you can get a teammate to lure them and work your way behind and take em out.

the shield adds alot of interesting elements.

I agree with Xtasy0 completely. Most of the complaints about the Shield are mainly because they change the way you have to play your game.

EDIT: A lot of people don't like change. Embrace it, you'll get used to any change they make to Counter-Strike soonish.

besides theres ways around shields.. grenades are one way, if u get up close to them, use ur knife, the game has it for a reason

I don't find a ct with a shield that much of a challenge It all depends on the player behind the shield when it comes down to it. Like it's always been.

Christ... I hear these things after every major update of CS.
It's amusing how angry players always describe their enemies who succesfully killed them in any way or other as "n00bs". Come on man, grow up.

Yes, we see alot of players using shields, but it will pass. We also saw smoke grenade spammers and mad knife slashers when those wepaons was introduced, but come on, people will get tired of it in length. How many people do you see using the double pistols anymore?

The shield adds an interesting gameplay feature, and if used correctly, it can open up for new tactics and ways to win a game. But describing it as being superior, RoscoPColdChain, is way of. If you constantly are being killed by a "shielder" I guess you're the n00b, not them.

CS has evolved dramatically since b5.2, and after each major update the majority of the gamers cried out for a down patch. What's really interesting though, is that the number of players has increased anyway.

Get over the whining and quit playing if you no longer like the game. We won't blame you, the game is pretty old and outdated after all... (sorry Valve )

wow thanks for the whole entire cs history channel update there psycho. and YES the shield is noobish not me. Plus they didn't give the terrorists anything to match it, like molotav cocktails or being able to hold more grenades to take down the shielder. So, ha ha in ur face on that one noob.

i think there should be a damage limit on the shield of like 500 or something, its too powerful and not fair for opposition...

leagues should ban it without a doubt, it might the start of its extinction
