Yeah, I don't get the surprise. You guys thought it was hardcore for people to play Silent Hunter III in realtime, but not this? Believe it or not, there are people out there who get their jollies off on mundane interests like this. Train hobbyists, for example. Hell, in Japan there's hardcore hobbyists for literally everything. There are arcade games that simulate bus driving in Tokyo. And that's all the gameplay is. Just a steering wheel, a gear shift, the pedals, and a bus schedule. And they're hard as ****. And there's a hardcore demographic that goes apeshit over them.

I wasn't replying to that part of what you guys were making fun of. I agree it's humorous. Though I think the 'extremes' in the title is referring to the fact that you can get ****ed up in sea storms in the game.
