does any one know how long it takes them to ship, are they pretty good about it. on new egg it says 1 - 2 business days to ship, then i chose fed ex 3 day saver.

HOW RELIABLE ARE THESE COMPANIES WITH SHIPPING???

I WANT MY NEW EFFING COMPUTER NOW

Well i have NO sympathy because my computer sucks and my net is the equivilent of coconut and string.

fedex = good
ups = very bad

fedex usually gets the stuff to you a day early, but if not, on time.

If you look at the reviews for almost any product on newegg, there's always compliments about the fast shipping.

When I ordered my iPod from Apple, they used fedex, and it delivered a couple days before it was scheduled to deliver.

Its funny. You can't really compliment the shipping. It is all a hoax.

FedEX and UPS pay the companies to say they are shipping later when in actuality the real shipping day is much earlier than what they previously stated.

You can order from any reliable store, and the product would be there 1-2 days before the actual date.

Everyone of my orders from Newegg to ZipZoomFly to Amazon.com came 1-2 days earlier. Of course, it does depend on the product. Lets say you are buying a new TV from some consumer then it has a chance of coming later than expected. But when companies give you a week or so for the product to arrive, that just means the product should be there in 5 days or so.

Summary: FedEX and UPS and reliable consumers fake you to believe the date is later to make you give the stores good reviews when the product arrives earlier therefore giving more postive reviews to FedEx and UPS which leads to a larger profit.

FedEx is superior to UPS, especially for NewEgg (because they process and ship very fast). Super Saver comes in about 2 days. It's very fast.

maybe...
my reason to think FedEx is superior is that they seem to cover much more ground in Canada.
i remember needing to send my printer out for repairs to HP and at first they sent me a UPS shipping code and label except that theres no UPS branches in Brampton AFAIK and so then they sent FedEx shipping code and label and everything was fine.

It really depends on where you live. Fed Ex has always been good to me.

Why dont you have Short Recoil deliver it instead? I'm sure he's faster than both.

post your final specs of everything you ordered if you dont mind

Everything I've ordered from them has arrived very quickly. When I ordered my Logitech 5.1 sound system, I used the super saver option and it actually arrived the next day. :D I was one happy camper.

QFT

FedEx always gets me my NewEgg stuff a day early. And USP usualy delivers my shit to the wrong address...
-.-

Oh and nice choices for that setup, dantewilliams.

I've never really had problems with either FEDEX or UPS... I just ordered something from UPS and now reading this thread I'm getting scared :(

why no sli? because i have no need for it im not goign to get another gt, and im just going to keep this computer around till DX10 comes out then ill look into SLI, besides SLI really offers no benefit to gaming (Source Toms Hardware). I just didnt see the need to fork out an extra 50 - 100 dollars for something i wont use. the only thing i liked about the asus sli motherboard was the copper heat pipe. I hear this MOBO's northbridge fan fails alot but the replacements fix it, i just hope mine will work, but no biggie if i have to get a replacement. And yes ill be getting cod2 i had it when i had my 360 but the online sucks for 360 i hope it will be really good on PC. COD1 Rocked online.

CoD2 doesnt run all that well online

sli will have some advantage over one card ..besides by summer the 7800gt will be around the $200 mark, much better than spending money on a new card ..but if you dont intend to upgrade then it's a waste ..oh and I only paid $20 more for my asus sli mobo over the non sli version ...gotta love the bargains

lol ok now i feel cheated out of 20 dollars. meh doesnt matter DX 10 FTW!!!

yes but 2 x 7800gt makes dx10 run better !!!

disclaimer: the above statement is purely speculative and should be taken with a grain of salt

2 x 10000 GT (the future) will make the world a safer place while playing DX10 games

Back to reality: i hope my 3d 06 marks will be good!

Yeah, at this point it's a huge waste of money to get 2 cards for SLI.
Sure your going to have awesome performance in every game. In fact, you'll have way over 45fps in everything out there. So by the time a game comes along that acutally stesses your hardware (knocking you down to 20 - 30 fps), then DX10 cards will be out.

UPS is crap. Go FedEx.

And besides that, you should get 2 gigs of ram to go with that cpu and video card. Trust me, you'll thank yourself in the future.

I ship off to boot camp mid july and im planning on selling my computer before then so no i wont need 2 gigs of ram seeing as how 2 gigs does nothing for gaming right now. (See tomshardware review on 2 gigs)
