Vance said two armed individuals confronted a "bunch of people who were in line" and tried to rob them, demanding money from those in the line.

"One of the patron's resisted. That patron was shot," Vance said.

Vance said the two robbers fled the scene. The victim was taken the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester with a gunshot wound. There was no immediate word on the victim's condition. .....

The console launch madness really is getting out of hand. You just want to grab these people and ask them why they would give all that money and risk their health just to get a system whose best games are at least a year out??!!

I'm pretty sure that there was a drive-by shooting last night at the Best Buy down the road from my house. God, I hate people.
 
Seriously guys, they don't want the system, they want the money. These things are going to resell for thousands on Ebay. That's why everyone is so bent out of shape.
 
Pretty disgusting how humans can act when money is involved. Lets face it, we know that 90% of them were only buying a PS3 to sell it on ebay to make a huge profit.

I don't know how anyone can laugh at innocent people being robbed, mugged, or killed. This has nothing to ****ing do with your stance on the PS3 whatsoever, the cause is the ****ing money.

Yes, no information on the internet under any circumstances is allowed to be taken seriously, we must always laugh at it no matter what, because it's on the internet and that magically changes the facts, peoples opinions, and everyone's morals or ethics.

I was checking out the prices there a second ago. They were going from $16,000 from this one psycho (but who's crazier, thats right, the buyer)
 
Feel sorry for the black guy that got mugged. And the guy that got shot. The riots and people fighting over consoles is just stupid.

Since Vegeta likes to take things way too serious (his seriousness level is over nine thousand), here's my real opinion: it's sad that people have to mug and/or kill for money.
 
Vegeta, is there anything you don't take too seriously. Sure, people getting mugged/beaten is pretty sad, but good god. If you want the 'respect' you often crave and natter on about, then you are going the wrong way about it....as usual.
 
I don't even want to begin to understand what you're talking about in the second part of your post Samon, so I'm going to ignore it.

Several other people in this thread were just as serious as I, I don't see you going off on them. There's nothing wrong with being impacted by hearing these horror stories so why do you care about our opinions?
 
I'm not going off at them because they didn't pull a you. I'm not even going off at you, I'm just saying - you constantly take things too seriously. I can understand you being shocked, and somewhat disturbed by these crazy stories but seriously, quit with the :| face all the time and jumping down peoples throats.
 
I did kind of act out of spontaneous anger towards those who laugh at such extreme misfortunes, now that I'm cooled off a bit I see I was out of line a bit, and should have stuck with expressing my horror in the situation.

But I'm still curious as to your view of me fighting for respect on the forums via my opinions on news! Do tell.

Did any of this kinda shit happen with the 360? I'm just curious. Either way, this just makes me think of the PS3 of the Devil even more with this kinda horrible stuff happening in it's wake.
 
I doubt it since the 360 didn't have omfgshortages.

Then again, the Xbox does have the game that has the largest, most rabid fanboy base ever. Luckily, the sequel to that certain game wasn't a launch title.
