Should HL2.Net have ther own gaming clan?

i think we should, it would be awesome... we'd have halo and CoD and CS and of course HL2 (when it's done)... who agrees??? the tag would look like this [HL2.N3T] (or sumthin) and either abom or nw909 would be the clan leader and i would be the person who decides who gets in and doesn't (out side the forum, that is)

I aired the idea with a mod a few days ago and he said he would take it up with the "brass"
But we were talking about a bf1942 DC mod clan.
But ofcourse we should have a clan that would go wiith more then one game.
My idea for a tag would just be a simple (hl2.net)

Voting for a clan leader like this is a very bad idea (nearly all clans formed this way die very quickly)

Everyone should meet up on irc, get on comms, and play together for a few months first. If you get on fine and have enough players who like the same game/s, then it's time to worry about getting a server and who should lead.

Whether you're just gonna be a fun clan or one that tries to compete is also a big issue, one which i've seen break up many a clan ........ despite the best of intentions. (Playing with ppl of a similar skill level is a very good idea)

There's no need to rush - spend some time on it and u'll end up with a good bunch of mates and a team that could last years (all other gaming compared to this is just shite )

yeah thats true, my clan doesnt really have a leader who barks out orders, we have a founder, who was the first member. I feel you work better together if there isnt a chain of command.

someone should make a poll of what online games they play so we can collate the numbers. obviously there'd be no point of someone being a clan leader if they don't play a certain game. something like Red Orchestra, not everyone plays so getting that lot together would be good.

a hl2.net server would be great, although probably they'd be obligated to host DoD and CS matches. i'd be up for it, anyone gonna make that poll?
