I havent even played it , how far do you think i would get in 10 days ?

I guess i could cheat my way through it.

Also which one do you buy there seems to be loads of varients ?

you buy half-life... no varients..

yes you should.. its a great game despite being so old..

don't cheat, you'll easily beat it in 10 days or less.

Play on Difficult and you will be done in 5 - 6 days straight gaming.
NO CheatING! :x
its wrong, O and get Blue Shift and Opposing Force and install the High Def pack and your set for HL2, Good Luck. :)

I beat HL on hard mode in 2 days - Opposing Forces expansion in 1 day, and the Blue Shift expansion in 4 hours (could not believe it was so short). So yeah - you'll have lots of fun and enough time. Get the game now, I have played many games, believe me. HL is still the best FPS with a storyline, something I enjoy very much unlike games like Quake or Unreal.

so whats blue shift and opposing force ?

And i take it that modders made counter strke ? nothing to do with valve whatsoever ?

I hardly have any idea of the story of half life, do blue shft and op forces carry on the story ? or are they multiplayer ?

Buy it. And while you're on it, make sure you have the Generation Pack. When you add HL2 in 10 days, you'll have the entire collection :)

Blue Shift and Oppsing force Liten up kiddies:
Blue Shift, you are Barney from HL
Opposing Force, You are a Marine from HL The story is extremly well placed, in Both of them you see bit from when you played in HL so play HL first :)

Do not give £5 on an old game, you could buy a laser beam for you PC case.

beating hl1 needs about 20 hours if you check everything very closely. so 10 days is more than enough to beat it.

RTCW is a pretyt old game, how do the half life grxs compare to that?

say RTCW was a 10 for graphics what would hal life be ?

That's comparing an apple with a pear. RTCW came out a loooong time after HL had been released. But looking purely at their story's, HL is a definate winner.

It's just one of those games you have to own. Certainly if you'll be buying HL2 in 10 days from now. But that's my opinion anyways...
