Im kinda worried about my new setup not having the power to cope from my PSU.

Im currently running a 480W Thermaltake Purepower Butterfly PSU : http://www.slcentral.com/thermaltake-w0021-purepower-butterfly-480w-psu/page3.php

Im worried mostly about the 12v Rail. Would it be enough to run this SATA setup?

Core 2 E6550 2.33ghz
8800GTS 640mb
2gb Corsair DDR2
Abit AW9D-MAX Intel PCI-Express (s775)
250gb Seagate Barracuda 16mb Cache HD

If it doesnt look like it, and as im not exactly sure on the current requirements of core 2 and the latest components, what should i be going for if i need a decent one?

Getting this all from overclockers.

dont worry about the set up of hard drives being powered. its the video card that will struggle being powered.

It depends.

1) Do you have a fancy case with lights &/or water cooling?
2) Do you have more than 1 fan(s) inside your PC, keeping it cool?
3) Do you plan to use SLI?
4) Do you have several optical drives, HDD's & other hardware plugged in?

I would advise that you use a good quality 630w+ PSU or better, to be used with the hardware that you list. While you should be able to get going with less, I still advise a 630w+ or better to allow for a little head room in the future. I'd also advise that the PSU had Quad 12v rails or at least Dual 12v rails which is common on newer PSU's. However, keep in mind that more rails does not always mean it's better.

How much do you have to spend?

yes, if you plan on system longevity always go with a reliable PSU.
