Should I or not?

YES.

I don't think I can emphasise it enough. People still play it online a great deal - I'm always going back for a nice long session of Invasion every so often ;) It's probably the least played official gamemode (with the possible exception of Bombing Run), yet there are still dozens of active servers for it.

i ask myself the same question all the time, everytime in in a game shop or hmv or sumit i see it on sale, the actual game doesnt really grab me but the mods particurly red orchestra look great.

No...it was fun for a while if you enjoyed the mods. But if you play the regular game be prepared to take shit from 12 year old rocket whores and ADD kiddies. You are only allowed to use two weapons without being called a whore, and if you get any kills with those weapons you are called a hacker.

Well is there like a good number of servers like FC? Cause FC has about 40-50 servers I get, and I can join one and several follow behind and turns out to be a good game. I LOVED the ut2k4 mp demo, so I was just wondering if there was still a quite big community playing the game.

Well, looking now, I see ~720 DM servers, and about 220 of those have people playing in, and Onslaught is next with around 130 servers with people playing. Bear in mind that this is an off-peak time, too... and you get an idea of how active the game still is.

Alright, thank you for informing me, I will be buying it when I know when next paycheck happens. I'll probably either revive this thread or make a new one asking which servers you and whoever else plays ut2k4 on here, plays at. :)

Thanks again.

Heartfully agree with you here. The graphics were nice to look at (that is, before hl2 was released) and it was pretty fun for about a month. Then I got bored and I put it away, never thought about reinstalling since.

By the way, I can't comprehend how anyone gets bored with it. It packs in the weapons, maps, mods, and modes of any five games, and has had a giant amount of stuff added by the developers after the release.

Yes buy this game. I to didn't know if I should. Lets just say.... I'm insanley glad I did!
I bought it over amazon and when I got it :) heh :).
I Became Happy^3

I know Newegg had a sweet deal a ways back, for like $16.20 including tax.

DO IT! The mods alone are a reason to buy it. Don't even question it.

It was alright to begin with, but ever since playin CSS I forgotten about. I like the shoot or be shot at approach of CSS, it appeals more. I suggest waitin for Unreal Tournament X, to see what they pull out of their hats.

Then I'd suggest to you to wait for the next release of Counter Strike. :D
When its that cheap and good theres no reason not to pick it up.

get it it rocks over150 Offical maps and nalicity.com u can get more

Yeah its pretty much cheap everywhere, I know I wouldn't have an issue with it at all, I loved the demo, etc. Just hoping I have time to play all my games. :P
