Okay, i just installed a Thermalake volcano 12 on CPU (with arctic silver certamique)... also just bought a 9800 Pro HIS Excalibur (with the big ass VGA cooler on it) ... now i am looking to overclock my system a little without pushing it "REALLY far" but within a normal overclock range... i guess somewhere around 2.2ghz for now
I used SiSoft Sandra to get the info about my mainboard and CPU here and are attached below.
Now i have a "easytune 4" temp. program that came with my gigabyte motherboard here... it it says CPU temp is 50C (but when i looked at sandra it said that for the power supply! and the CPU as 23C!!!! COOL!)
Could my CPU temp in sandra be accurate? Maybe the easytune program is inaccurate and can't use the CPU temp diode or something?
Any help you guys can offer would be awesome!
Specs:
2.0ghz Athlon XP (2400+) thermalake volcano12+arcticsilver ceramique
Radeon 9800 Pro HIS (with that hoking heatsink on it) think the core is at 380mhz stock
DDR 333mhz Pc2700 (two 256 sticks, one 512)
Windows XP Home SP1
