Should I play this first?

I can't play the game for at least the next few days, so is it this or Portal that I'm going to want to play first?

Episode 2, then take a breather and play Portal and then back to EP2 and finish that, then back to beating Portal. Thats what I did anyhow.

I think Portal first is a must. since there will be small stuff that are related to portal in EP2. (Judith scene).

Might make more sense after portal, but meh, You still will get those small nitpicks post-portal or post-episodetwo

I played Portal first and it seems the best option, it's easier to keep a lookout for Portal-related items in Ep 2 than vice versa.

And, after you start getting pissed off at all the puzzles, you can shoot stuff!

Portal, then take a day off. contemplate life, the meaning of the trees, and how can gaming get any better. Then kick up Episode 3, and find that yes, gaming can indeed get better; and trees are really out to kill you.

Damn the trees I say. Seriously, either. I was anticipating Portal because it's a brand spanking new title but I played Ep2 first and got half-way through before I took a break and played Portal.

Go with Portal first, however tempting Episode 2 seems. It just adds more substance to think about when the story advances in EP2.
