This was kind of like the Civ, but in space? I remember playing it a longgggg time ago at my friend's house.

not in space really, but on another planet in space A colony ship I think it was, crashes on a planet and there's like 7 groups that try to rebuild their civ so but yeah kinda plays like civ great game, need to buy/download it :\

I remember I bought it and liked it, but not as much as I liked Civ 2. I like the Civ games because their based on real history, as oposed to just made up sci fi stuff.

I have the Planetary Pack which is both Alpha Centauri and the Alien Crossfire expansion. It's been a looooong time since I've played it. When/if I ever get the time I need to install it again, I think I'll appreciate it more now than I did 5/6 years ago (it says 1999 on the box).

I bought the game cheap a couple of years ago...I still see it every now and then for cheap in any decent game store...if you still can't find it then the underdog link works fine: shhhh don't tell any one
